The male of the species will never fully understand the importance and significance of a woman’s purse.  They don’t understand that it’s so much more than the fabric and thread that holds it together.  It’s an outward symbol of our personal style, our social status and more than that it is an extension of us.

It’s our office, our home away from home, our survival pack and our entertainment.  When we have children it carries their snacks, their toys, their bottles, bandages and baby wipes.  Without children it carries our address books, our phones, our money, our keys, our life.  It’s not just a pretty bag that matches our shoes ,though sometimes I admit it is just that when it’s such a pretty shade of magenta or green or….I digress, it’s more.  So much more.  It carts our life wherever we go and men, poor men, will never understand that.

We all carry our purses, no matter what shape or size, I who do not necessarily consider myself a girlie girl have seven and am known to buy one that catches my eye.  All of us have at least one and no matter how fancy or practical, large or small, our purses travel with us wherever we go.
